Disadvantages of Weekly Option Contract

Apart from various benefits of this weekly option contract, there are some disadvantages of this contract. Liquidity will be lower at the start and a trade may raise the risk of a spread between bids and ask prices. Traders should have proper understanding and perfect market view else premium erosion may hurt to the option buyers in a big way. Also If traders shift their trading from monthly to weekly contract, no major volume will be seen in F&o segment.
